I am a research student within the Information, Data and Analytics (IDA)
section at the University of Glasgow and a member of the Glasgow Information Retrieval Group.
My supervisors are Dr. Richard McCreadie and Dr. Jeff Dalton.
My research is primarily focused on the optimisation of neural language models, more specifically:
- Identifying task relatedness in multi-task settings via explainability;
- Modelling complex feature relationships of task-specific semantics;
- Optimisation of multi-task systems via task modelling.
My other research interests include crisis informatics and social media analysis.
I am also a regular TREC participant, particularly in the TREC Incident Streams track, an organiser for the Machine Learning in Science student colloquium, and have held various tutor and marking assistant roles across the university.
